Becker family papers, 1687-1878.

Two scrapbooks containing papers of the Becker family and other families of Saratoga, Rensselaerwyck, Albany, and elsewhere in New York State. Many accounts, receipts, and bills and aggrements, indentures, wills, other legal documents, and correspondence. Of note are legal documents, 1753, between Johannes Douw, Albertus Becker, and Storm Van Der Zee concerning their joint ownership of a mill on the "Norman's Kill;" Volckert B. Douw's license, 1764, allowing him to keep a tavern in Albany; and a letter, 1747, from Cornelius Cuyler to Simon de Ridder asking him to "grind for me a dozen bushels more."
